Education

IFAS maintains a suite of educational opportunities including a graduate pro-seminar in food and agricultural standards, a certificate program in food regulatory and quality standards, and a graduate specialization spanning these and related topics in agrifood standards. These programs are presently dormant, pending the appointment of a new IFAS Director who would be expected to further develop and implement them as s/he sees fit.

In addition, in conjunction with its agrifood nanotechnology projects, IFAS partners have developed graduate courses in philosophy and technology and philosophy and nanotechnologies. Additional educational programming opportunities are currently being explored, including the role of standards in an undergraduate specialization in global sustainability and an international student exchange in ecological food & farming systems.
